In his interview with the American TV commentator Tucker Carlson, Vladimir Putin‘s claims caused various reactions worldwide. Several commentators, politicians and journalists responded to historical falsification and disinformation. However, a sense of humour was absent from most of these reactions.
Mongol Tsakhia ELBEGDORJ is a former prime minister (1998, 2004-6) and president of Mongolia (from 2009 to 2017) and one of the most significant politicians of the democratic revolution in 1990. A fighter for human rights, press freedom, the abolition of the death penalty and corruption, the Mongolian politician reacted to Putin’s interview with humour.
Posting on his account on Twitter @elbegdorj, he wrote:
“After Putin’s talk. I found Mongolian historic map. Don’t worry. We are a peaceful and free nation”
What a sense of humour!
