Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš once again expressed his negative views about euro adoption during the opening ceremony of the R:publika festival in Brno on May 29.
Participating in a debate titled What Kind of EU Do We Want?, the PM said joining the euro was not a priority and he was happy with the Czech currency.
In the event of problems, the prime minister said he trusted the intervention of the National Bank which had proved beneficial in the past, reported Radio Praha online.
Babiš also noted that the EU’s common currency, in the case of Greece and Italy, has been a reckless experiment.
