MEPs will visit a number of industrial plants, research sites and energy production plants in Lombardy, Italy, in order to discuss energy and industrial policy, from 2 to 4 November.
The delegation from the Industry, Research and Energy committee (ITRE) will consist of six MEPs and will be led by committee Chair Cristian-Silviu Buşoi (EPP, RO).
On 2 November, MEPs will visit the ENI research centre in Bolgiano and the Leonardo plant in Varese.
On 3 November, they will be in Milan at the ‘Mind’ innovation district, the SNAM headquarters and the ENEL hydroelectric power plant in Trezzo sull’Adda.
The delegation will end on 4 November with a visit to the “Arena del Futuro” built by A35 Brebemi in collaboration with Stellantis and other partners, a circuit for research in the field of dynamic induction charging for electric vehicles.
The delegation, is composed of the following MEPs: Patrizia Toia (S&D, IT), Massimiliano Salini (EPP, IT), Josianne Cutajar (S&D, MT), Valter Flego (Renew, HR), Isabella Tovaglieri (ID, IT).
