“Supporting candidate countries on their path to EU membership is an investment in security and stability on our continent, which has been made even more clear since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Albania and Montenegro are moving forward rapidly with the necessary reform work to become EU members. The government has been supporting the countries in the Western Balkans with their reform efforts for a long time, not least with strong reform support,” stressed Minister Rosencrantz.
