Minister for Foreign Affairs Lars Løkke Rasmussen presented the Government’s new foreign and security policy strategy today. The strategy sets out the general principles on how Denmark will navigate in a world that has become more tumultuous and unpredictable after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
The strategy focuses on three overall foreign policy priorities.
First, a greater focus on the security of Denmark and Europe in light of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Second, a need for strengthened global partnerships and alliances.
And third, building a more robust and resilient society in terms of supply chains, energy, critical infrastructure and more.
Minister for Foreign Affairs Lars Løkke Rasmussen presented the strategy today as part of a foreign policy speech at the University of Copenhagen.
