On August 25, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan. Zelenskyy expressed gratitude for Turkey’s unwavering support and diplomatic efforts to bring peace and stability to the Black Sea region, primarily President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. He also thanked Turkey for its humanitarian aid and assistance releasing Ukrainian captives.
The Head of State highlighted President Erdoğan’s support for Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty during the 3rd Summit of the International Crimea Platform. The parties discussed the risks of Russia’s blockade of the Black Sea grain corridor and the implementation of the Ukrainian Peace Formula.
The Turkish Foreign Minister affirmed his country’s unwavering support for Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty. He also emphasized the importance of the Ukrainian Peace Formula during his meetings with Ukrainian officials, including Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, and Head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak.
The Minister also met with leaders of the Crimean Tatar Turks in Kyiv, underlining Turkey’s support for all initiatives that strengthen the rights and status of Crimean Tatar Turks.
